Farnham and Bordon MP Gregory Stafford and neighbouring Godalming and Ash MP Jeremy Hunt, Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer , have written a joint letter to the Government ahead of the Budget to urge the Government to reconsider its disastrous proposal to impose new taxes on the independent schools sector.
After a meeting held by Gregory in his constituency last week with a large group of parents, teachers, governors and staff from local independent schools, the two Surrey MPs have set out the concerns of the meeting's attendees as well as their own to the Chancellor and Secretary of State for Education.
