Farnham and Bordon MP Gregory Stafford has called for long-overdue improvements to Hickley’s Corner on the A31 in Farnham, highlighting the issue during Transport Questions in the House of Commons last week.
Gregory noted that an outline business case for the scheme is expected to reach the Secretary of State shortly and stressed the importance of timely action to deliver progress on a project that has been delayed for too long. He described the improvements as a vital step for easing congestion, improving road safety, and supporting both residents and businesses in the local area.
Following his intervention, the Minister agreed to meet with Gregory to discuss the next steps. Gregory has pledged to continue pressing for progress, making clear that the community deserves a long-term solution at one of the most problematic stretches of road in Farnham.
