Local MP Gregory Stafford joined Farnham's Town Crier in officially opening this year's Bourne Show.
In his opening speech, he commended the committee, volunteers, stallholders and the attendees for all coming together to make the occasion another success.
Gregory told his constituents at the show that the event is a poignant one for him personally, as it was the first event he attended as the newly-elected MP for Farnham and Bordon in July 2024.
He later wrote on social media:
An excellent time today at this year’s Bourne Show!
I joined Farnham’s Town Crier in officially opening the show, before talking to the many local groups, charities and businesses as stallholders.
That included More House School, who are fundraising for an entry to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with ‘Rockbeth’, the Farnham Lions with a fun game of ‘frog in a clog’, Farnham Assist tombola and many more!
A special mention to Farnham Runners for their excellent BBQ too. A great day as always.
