After months of campaigning to secure faster, more reliable broadband for the community, Gregory’s latest meetings with Government and suppliers have brought a clear update: a national deadline has been set for confirming broadband rollout plans later this year.
Gregory's sustained work on this issue has led to quarterly meetings with Government officials and ongoing engagement with suppliers, including sharing the findings of last year’s constituency connectivity survey.
But the message now needs to be unmistakable. With decisions expected by September at the latest, it is vital that the Government understands just how urgent this is for local residents and businesses.
Gregory will meet the Minister for Digital Economy on April 14th, and is asking constituents to back a simple petition to send a clear signal: our community needs better broadband, and it cannot wait.
