More than 18,000 pensioners in Gregory Stafford MP's constituency had their Winter Fuel Payment cut by the Labour Government just before the 2024/25 winter period.
At the time, Gregory held a special pensioner surgery in conjunction with Age UK and Citizens' Advice to encourage those most affected by the cuts to explore the support available to them and to ascertain if they were in fact eligible for pension credit.
Despite numerous calls from Gregory and other Conservative MPs, the Government did not reverse the cruel policy which has left thousands of people in our local community without vital support.
Now, Gregory is inviting the constituents affected by these cuts to share their stories and difficulties they are facing in winter so that he may continue to put pressure on Labour ministers well ahead of the 2025/26 winter period.
